Up Next: Southern California! We will be facing some very good teams in southern California this weekend. Everyone needs to make sure you are well rested and hydrated. Start now--it's difficult to get fully hydrated the day before the tournament. We have added two players to our roster for the Islands Classic tournament: Hailey D'Atri and Samantha Beauchamp! They are joining us from our sister team, Heritage Savage, and will help us cover for the number of girls who will be absent this weekend. They both played quite well for Savage at last weekend's Sonoma 6v6, and I'm sure we'll be glad to have their help this weekend. Welcome, Sam and Hailey! Don't forget that our forum has helpful links to this weekend's Camarillo tournament. Be sure to keep up with any late-breaking changes there. In other news... Scrimmage added: I have added a scrimmage to the schedule for Wednesday, August 5. This will be in Benicia against the Benicia Arsenal U15 Girls team. Tournament added: We also have three... uh, "scrimmages"... on the weekend of August 15-16! Actually, this is a tournament at which we have agreed to play as a "Fill-In Team". It's an excellent chance to get in three good games against quality opponents to help us prepare for tournaments the following two weekends. Field Training: In addition to the previously announced goalkeeper training, The Heritage club is now conducting daily camps for field players. These are two hours a day, four days a week. The camps are being repeated for four weeks. Players are encouraged to let Julio or Tracy know when you plan to be there, but you can drop in at any session if your plans change. I've posted additional details about these changes on our forum for easy reference. Also, don't forget the deadline to submit Pleasanton tournament t-shirt pre-orders to Lynne With is next week. You can probably also buy them at the tournament, but it won't be at the discounted price. Posted by Dan 07/21/2009, revised 07/22/2009
